Rainy day...again

I know I posted a while back about the boys playing outside in the rain with their cool spiderman rain jackets on...but the other day they were playing out in the rain again and asked me to take their picture...and their faces cracked me up...they are goofy boys! I love them so much :D

Trey is definitely a momma's boy and a huge cuddler. He just prefers to fall asleep near me or on me. I took this picture just a few minutes ago. I am sitting in one computer chair with my feet up on the other computer chair, resizing a ton of pictures to send to my parents and he fell asleep on my legs....

37 weeks

Yesterday marks the beginning of my 37th week. I had my doctors appointment and it went well...this week I gained a pound and a half again..so I'm good with that and she isn't really saying much about it anymore...I guess she finally gave up on it...thank goodness..I sure was getting tired of the same stupid lecture. She got the results from my ultrasound and everything is completely fine..like I knew it was going to be. Ty is pretty much average size, according to the ultrasound anyways.. So she sent my info to the hospital to hold a spot for me to have the c-section on November 11th. Next week I should be able to schedule the time and get all my registration stuff started for the hospital stay.

I am still feeling good, but ever since we got back from the Oil Ranch, I am just exhausted. So I have been taking it pretty easy and not doing a whole lot around here...which is driving me nuts because there is so much I want to get done...but the truth is those things that I want to get done aren't really essential and don't have to be done before he gets here...I would just like it done... Then stuff I actually do need to get done is pretty easy, like washing clothes and blankets and stuff...so that's pretty easy. Needless to say we are all getting really anxious for Ty's arrivial and cannot wait to meet him!!!

Oil Ranch Fun!

Today I took the boys to the Oil Ranch. It is a very fun place to go..they have, hay rides where you can feed the cows, petting zoo where you can feed the animals,train ride, horse riding, cow milking, and a bunch of other "ranch" things to do. We have gone every October since we have lived here and I really love it. I was a little worried because yesterday it rained a ton and this morning it was still overcast, so I was worried about the mud, but it was actually really dry there and the weather was amazing....we even had to wear a light jacket when we first got there! It was just the boys and I which was a little strange since usually we do these type of things with our group of friends, but it was really nice to spend some quality time, just me and them. It was really funny on the hay ride because the cows are not shy at all about trying to get as much food as possible...Trey was okay at first when he was giving the cow the 2 pieces of food, but once he was out of food, they still wouldn't leave him alone and this one kept trying to eat on his leg, so Trey flipped out...I felt so bad for the little guy, but it was funny. Then I was excited because Trey actually rode the horse this year. He has never ridden any animal and he was so proud of himself for doing it. Tucker, has never been timid about riding the animals, so of course he loved it. The boys had a blast and got to pick out a pumpkin before we left. Tucker wanted the biggest one he could find and Trey wanted a little one. This sure did put us all in the Halloween/Harvest spirit!

Car seat canopy!

I think this is the coolest thing ever...well as far car seat accessories go anyways. One of my friends had her little girl a few months back and came to a playdate with her car seat canopy..I had never heard of this before, but it is an amazing idea. I searched online for directions and finally found a step by step blog to make one. It was super simple and was the first project I completed on the sewing machine with no complications! I am really happy how it turned out. These things sell for upward of 25 bucks, most sell for around $40, which is pretty outragous...because I only spent about $10 on the supplies and it was super simple to make! Thanks for the idea Jen...I hope to one day be as skilled as you on these crafty projects!

Finally getting to it...

So I know I keep talking about all the "things" I've been doing and now I'm finally getting around to posting some of the pictures.

I just painted the blocks and letters, then glued the letters on the blocks.

These were just blank canvases, that I painted and put some ribbon on.(I am still in the process of painting some other stuff for the walls because my original idea of painting a brown stipe on the wall just did not happen.)

This is just a plain travel wipes case and I decorated it with fabric and ribbon.

I didn't sew these from scratch, but I hemmed them all to the length I wanted them. I still need to get some ribbon so I can gather the door curtains in the middle.

This is just some(the rest is in the deep freezer) of the food I have premade and froze so we can have some easy dinners on hand. (Hopefully this will keep us from eating out so much..which is one of our worst habbits) So far I have 10 main dishes and 2 sides done. I am hoping to get a few more done in these next few weeks.

My funny boys!!

The boys are always making me laugh with the things they say, whether they mean to be funny or not. Today when I picked Tucker up from school he told me he had homework...which is funny because he assigned the homework to himself. So I asked what his homework is and he said "to trace my foot."

Tucker is obsessed with maps and the weather. So we watch a lot of stuff on the weather channel and lately they have been having a lot of shows about tornadoes. Tucker asks about a million questions about the how and what and pretty much everything about the tornado and I do my best to explain it so he can understand it. Trey, of course, is watching and asking questions too, but he calls them "tormadoes" you know like tomatoes...and no matter how many times I correct him he says "tormadoes."

There are so many funny things they say, I will have to start posting about it more often!

Less than 3 weeks left!

As of yesterday I am 36 weeks....holy cow!!! That means because I am having a c-section I have less than 3 weeks left.....wow! I am in total denial about this...overall I still feel really good...I don't remember feeling this good being this far along, but I do. By the end of the day I am pretty tired and definitely ready to relax and put my feet up, but I'm not miserable, so that's a good thing.

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and things went well. I only gained a pound and a half, but the week before(I have to go every weeks now) I gained five..whoops :P But I don't really care so much about that..my doctor does, but I don't. My belly measured 37 last week and then 42 this week...but my belly can change in size in a matter of minutes because of the way he is positioned, it really just depends. She said that it is still looking like we are going to schedule the c-section for the 11th of November, as long as everything goes well at the ultrasound (which is today..and I will bet to that in a minute) and as long as I don't go into labor or my blood pressure gets high for some reason..which I doubt either of those things will happen anyways.

Now on to the ultrasound, that went really well. The same doctor who did it last time did it again and he said everything looks good. Last time the baby was breech, but this time he was head down...which doesn't matter, but I really thought he was still head up because my stomach still feels the same as it when he was breech. We didn't get to look at his face today because his head is facing my back and the doctor just could not get him to move. He really sticks out far in the front...so I can pat his little butt and rub his back already. The doctor said he was just over 6 pounds which is right about where he should be and thinks he should about 7 and a half pounds at birth. We will see about that though...But anyways, he agreed with my doctor and the 11th is good as long as nothing comes up.

Oh man, do I have so much to do still...and it sucks because Vinny wasn't suppose to be working next week, but taking a class, giving us some extra time to get things done, but now he will be working, so that sucks, but oh well....such is life. At least I know if I really need help with something I know my friends are there for me. I still need to post on all the crafty stuff and other stuff I have been doing...and I promise I will get that done soon... right now though I am going to bed...I'm sleepy! Oh and pictures are still yet to come..soon...

A subconscious reaction

Yesterday at the boys practice while I was watching them, I heard someone whistle(not a whistle from an actual whistle), not a quiet whistling a tune whistle, but one of the loud attention getting whistles...and I automatically turn to look around for my dad...he always whistled to get our attention while we were outside playing or playing sports or for various other things...he always has and he still does and I'm sure he always will. I obviously knew my dad wasn't here, but I had to look for him. I always miss my parents, but things like these really make me feel like we are missing out and I really hate being away from them. It's funny the little things I never imagined I would miss, but I have come realize as strange as it may seem, it is something I will always cherish.

A little suprize....

Today the boys and I over to our friend's house for a playdate..which is not something unusual, we get together all the time, but when we got there it was a little baby shower for me! I was really excited and it was a lot of fun! I think the funniest part about it was the kids were all confused about the "shower" part...and then one of the little girls, Kadence, kept telling me happy birthday because it was a party for me...she just figured it was my birthday. The boys were confused because I told them it was a party for me and the baby, Tucker said..."but the baby isn't here yet, so how is it his party?" The things kids say are really priceless and sure do bring a smile to my face.


But I just wanted to thank my friends...you guys are amazing and I don't know how I would survive without you! I love you girls!!

Not comfy enough...

The other night, I was busy with one of my many projects I have going on right now (I don't remember what anymore...my memory isn't too good right now) and Trey told me he was tired, so I told him to get ready for bed, brush teeth, get pj's on, go potty....and I would tuck him into bed. After 15 or 20 minutes, I realized Trey never came back, so I went to check on him and I found him in Vinny and my room, on top of all our pillows on our bed....I guess our bed just wasn't soft enough for them...it must have been really comfy because he didn't even stir when I moved him to bed.

That darn cat....

Tucker has been complaining about Mocha sleeping with him at night. He keeps telling me that she keeps sleeping on his head, but everytime I go check on where Mocha is sleeping, she is usually in his bed, but nowhere near his head...well tonight I caught her....poor Tucker.

Rain, Rain, Rain

We have had so much rain on and off this past week(well, now it is more like a week and a half or so)...it has made it hard for the boys to play outside...They kept asking to go play in the backyard and I looked and it was sunny, but raining out just a bit, so they put on their rain jackets my mom bought them awhile back. They also wanted to wear their mud boots, but they were too small, so Trey wore Tucker's old boots and Tucker just wore his Crocs. I guess it is time to buy Tucker some new boots. The rain didn't last long and you can't even tell it is raining in the picture, but they looked cute in the rain jackets.

Field Trip Fun

This past Wednesday the boys went on a field trip for school and I got to tag along too. It was Trey's first "official" field trip, even though we got to go along with Tucker last year. We went to Dewberry Farm and had fun on a hay ride, picking a pumpkin off the vine, feeding and petting farm animals, and playing around on the other activities at the farm. I love going there..this is actually the 3rd time we have been, but the weather was horrible...it was about 94 degrees with full humidity and because of all the rain we have had, the ground was extremely wet. Surprisingly, the boys didn't really get too muddy, which is so not like them...but I was happy about that. I was a little bummed out because usually they have a big variety of pumpkins, squash, and gourds, but one of the farmers told us that because the weather was hotter than usual, the squash and gourds didn't grow at all. Then because of all the moisture, a bunch of the pumpkins were moldy or rotten..I would say at least half of the entire crop was yucky. Despite the crummy conditions, the boys had a blast. I, however, didn't exactly share their enthusiasm, but I wouldn't miss it..I loved being able to experience these things with them.

Our fat cat!

We have 2 cats...we got Mila from a family who needed to get rid of her because their daughter developed severe allergies, she is about 5 and we got her just about 2 years ago. She is a very little cat.... Then last September we decided we wanted another cat...Mila is not the friendliest of cats..to say the least...Vinny wanted a cat to play with and love on and Mila usually doesn't want anything to do with anyone besides me. So we went to this local animal shelter (it is also where we got our dog Terry) by our house (not the city one, a non-profit, no kill shelter) and picked out this very pretty tiny kitty named Mocha! She was so little and made Mila look like a huge cat...but man did she change in a year. She is such a piggy.....we can't keep extra dog food in the bowl because she will eat it and she will steal any type meat or cheese and she loves eggs. We are monitoring her food intake very closely now because we don't want her to be an unhealthy weight, but she has seemed to stop growing now....however she has gotten so big that she can barely jump it up onto our bed and onto the bathroom counter (where we keep the cat food).

A bummer of a weekend.

I bummed out because our weekend didn't go at all like the way we planned...and Friday didn't go very well either come to think about it....

So starting off with Friday, (I'll go with the short version so I don't ramble on..) we took Vinny's truck to Walmart to get the oil changed and a few hours later when we were leaving to go visit Vinny's parents for the night, Vinny went to put on some of his new cologne, one he just bought on Tuesday for 50 bucks...(he keeps all his cologne in his center console...he always has and probably always will) and it was gone...the lid was still in there, but the bottle was gone. So he went back to Walmart to see if he could get some answers about why one of his colognes were gone (there are 3 other bottles in there..all brand name, expensive ones...Vinny has a thing for cologne...) Of course they say that they didn't take it and the manager said that they looked at the security tapes, but it is not like they would be able to see anything anyways...so there is nothing they can do about it, but it just pisses us off. I figure the guy smelt all the colognes and took the one that smelled the best and figured Vinny wouldn't notice for a few days or weeks because there was more than one bottle in there. I can't believe some people...

We go to see Vinny's parents, which is always nice, but we had to leave this morning from their house by 6:30am to make it to the boys soccer game at 9:15. The game actually got canceled so we were up freaking early for nothing....

Then we were planning on going to the Renaissance festival today, it was opening weekend and tickets were really cheap...plus the weather out is amazing...we haven't been in 2 years..but they call Vinny at 7am and tell him he has to leave for work today instead of leaving on Sunday like they told him on Saturday....so that sucks...no festival for us and I don't know if Vinny will be off another weekend and even if he is, if I will actually be up for it when he is off.

Then since Vinny had to work earlier than we thought and we made an unscheduled trip to Vinny's parent's house our house it completely a wreck...we started moving things around and painting the baby's room....so crap is everywhere and the painting isn't finished, the crib is only part way put together and sitting out in the garage.....so who knows when things are actually going to get done now....

The only good thing about the weekend is the weather and because it is cooler out the boys are actually outside playing in the backyard and have been for at least an hour now...which they haven't done if forever!!! I'm sitting here in the living room with the windows open watching them play.

34 weeks!

Well, I'm 34 weeks this week.....and somehow last week I missed out on the reliziation that I only had 6 weeks left...now only 5 weeks left. I had my appointment on Wednesday and things are good. His heartbeat was 131 this time and really strong. I gained 2 pounds a week since my last appointment, which is what I gain every week. In total I have gained 42 pounds since I have been pregnant, which she told me "is just too much weight to gain while pregnant" so I need to cut back and yada yada yada...whatever...I'm excited because if I keep gaining 2 pounds a week, I will have only gained 52 pounds....which my goal this time was to only gain 50 pounds...it is better than the 65 I gained each time with Tucker and Trey. I am just a person who gains weight when I am pregnant, no matter what I am doing as far as eating and working out and what not...so whatever... She told me that idealily I should only gain 1/2 to a pound a week because I have gained so much already...so I said okay, but I was thinking whatever...I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing.

She is going to schedule me another ultrasound in a few weeks to check on the baby's size again because my tummy is measuring 4 weeks ahead still(measuring 38). I am a little concerned because she is so conserned about the baby getting too big and is making it seem like she might take the baby early if he does get too big and I am really not okay with that. Unless there is some medical reason why he needs to be delivered early, I want him born at 39 weeks. Like I said in my last baby update post, they said Trey was going to be just as big or bigger than Tucker, and he was almost an entire pound less, so I would be very upset if they said the same thing about this little guy and took him before 39 weeks and he was really small, I would be pretty upset...I just want him to be healthy and just really don't think he should be born early just because he "might" be a big baby...especially during cold and flu season...sorry to keep going on about this, but it's bugging me.

As far as how I'm feeling...I'm actually feeling pretty good although I can tell I'm getting towards the end because I'm feeling pretty chubby and I'm sad my face is looking chubby, but oh well...they weather here has been horrible..on Tuesday, the hi was 93 with super high humidity...so it actually felt like 103. So it was hot and miserable...the heat makes me swell so bad, my hands get so swollen that they hurt...ugh..it is horrible. My feet haven't swollen that much, which is good, but I'm having other problems with them...because summer is so hot here, I don't think I have worn anything, but flip flops since May...so I've been wearing shoes a little more often now because I am so dang tired of flip flops and my feet hurt so bad after wearing them...they just feel squished and hot and for some reason my calves hurt....but if I wear flipflops my ankles and arches hurt so bad...either way by the end of the day, I'm sore... I've had heartburn pretty bad for awhile now, but it is getting horrible at night. Last night it was so bad it actually woke me up....I even had 4 tums before I fell asleep.

Now, as far as getting things ready for his arrivale, I am just going to make a seperate post about that...because we have been busy :D

BOWLING!!!!

We love to bowl!! The only thing that sucks it that bowling is actually really expensive here...so we don't go very often(we really miss the Monday dollar games at the Army base we used to live on...anyways...) Tucker asked to go bowling once Vinny got off, so Wednesday after school we went. It was a lot of fun and the boys really are getting good. It makes me sad, but proud that neither of them need our help to throw the ball down the lane anymore. Tucker got 5 or 6 spares and Trey got 3...They both are really proud of themselves when they knock a lot of pins down, but Trey was really excited...I think it was because he actually did it all by himself. Vinny and I bowled too, but part way through the first game, Vinny let the boys bowl for him because the boys were just having too much fun..plus Vinny said it's not really as fun bowling with the bumpers up...because we can't see who really wins between the 2 of us! I had fun and felt good the entire time...although it looked like I was caring an extra bowling ball under my shirt. Tucker cracked me up because everytime he threw his ball down the lane, he stood back and watched with his arms crossed over his chest. We had our usual bowling alley food, nachos and cheese fries (with ketchup of course..thanks to my brother Jake, I learned a few years back that the only way to eat cheese fries is with ketchup:) We had to pry the boys away when it was time to leave, they could have bowled there all day! It was so fun and I can't wait to go again!

Today while Tucker was playing a fishing game on the Wii our cat Mila got overly interested in what was going on on the tv. It cracked us all up...I had to snap a picture before I shooed her away..good thing it was Mila because Mocha is huge and probably would have knocked the tv over.

Proud of my big boy

Tucker really doesn't have much of an interest for academic things. He is definitely a sports and games type of guy, but today he was coloring on the easel and told me he wanted to write his name. So I wrote his name on the bottom of the board and we practiced each letter, then he wrote his name all by himself, without me guiding his had at all, like I usually do. I'm so proud of him and I think he was proud of himself too!

Man I suck...

I have been pretty busy getting things organized around the house, so I have been slacking just a bit on posting stuff of the blog.

Last Saturday was the boys first soccer game. Tucker did great and had a blast. Trey refused to put his uniform on at the house and wouldn't play the first half of the game. Vinny called and talked Trey into playing, well more like bribed him with a new toy. Then Trey went in the game and did awesome. He was right in the mix of things, going after the ball and playing hard, you would have never guessed that the beginning of the game he did not want to play at all! Tucker played goalie for a little while and he is a really good at it..he watches the ball and moves in the direction the ball is coming and he is not afraid of diving on top of the ball. It was so fun to watch them both play. I really love it! Hopefully next game Trey will play without having to be bribed :D
