While my mom was here we wanted to do something kind of special, so we decided to take the boys to Sea World in San Antonio....we were a little nervous because it was just going to be the 2 of us with the boys because Vinny was out working, but we decided to be brave and just go do it!!! And man was is a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only bad thing was that is was so hot, even the boys were miserable walking around the park. It wasn't like we were expecting, but it really was fun. We saw a few shows..the Shamu show (of course), the sea lion show, the boat show, and a 4-D pirate movie(which was cool because it was in 3-D, but they sprayed you with water or air or your chairs shook...it was fun! I loved the Shamu show...it is amazing how well they can train these animals. Trey was hilarious during the show because Shamu splashes the audience, so the after the first splash Trey starts crying and says "That big dolphin splashed me in the eyes...there is salt water in my eyes" I felt bad for him, but it was too funny not to laugh about it...so from then on every time we see a picture or figure of Shamu, he tells us about how Shamu splashed salt water in his eyes and it hurts. To this day he is still talking about it! The other cool thing was the penguin exhibit...they try to keep it as natural as possible, so the lighting is just the way it would be in their natural habitat, so it was dark in the exhibit....it looked really cool. The dolphins were in a big pool that you could lay on the sides and touch the dolphins if you they got close enough, so that was pretty amazing...dolphins are so pretty. The boys got to experience their first roller coaster ride and they loved it...we actually went twice. It was really so much fun and we are definitely going back once the weather cools down a bit....walking around in the upper 90s with full humidity was not fun, even with the water to play in.
After that exhausting day, we didn't want to make the drive back home, so we decided to stay in hotel over night. It was a Comfort Suites and it was probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in for the price of a regular plain hotel. There was a separate little living room with a table and chairs and a pullout couch, with a tv and fridge and microwave. Then in the actual bedroom with 2 queen beds and another tv in there....plus the bathroom was nice...everything was so clean and new looking. This is definitely my new favorite hotel...so if you are needing a hotel, check out the Comfort Suites. Oh and their breakfast in the morning was amazing....completely free...eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, and of course all the other normal breakfast things. Sorry enough about the hotel....I got distracted because we were shocked how nice it was. Well, the next morning we had breakfast and then swam in the pool for a little bit.
It was an amazing little vacation!
My mom flew in for her annual summer visit the first Sunday of June and we had such a blast. She stayed almost 2 weeks and we were busy pretty much everyday! We did a lot of shopping and playing in the pool or in the backyard with water because it was extremely hot! We also celebrated Trey's 3rd Birthday...this year at Chuck-E-Cheese....I let him pick and that is what he wanted..to go to Chuck-E-Cheese and have a Superman Cake! (he is on some huge superman kick for some reason, which I don't know why because we have never even watched any sort of Superman show or movie..) We had fun teaching Gramma how to better use the Wii and we watched a lot of movies. We even went to the drive-in movies and saw The Night at the Museum 2. It was so much fun!!! I really love having my mom here and whenever she is here it just makes me miss her that much more once she goes back home. We also took a pretty big adventure, but I will save that for Part 2!!!!
Just a short note about baby #3...I had a check up the other day and all is well for me and the little baby....The heartbeat was 151 which went down from the last couple of times where it was in the 160s. My weight gain is good...9 pounds so far which is, according to the doctor, "right where it should be" This I am very happy about because I really don't want to gain the 65 pounds like I did with both of the boys. One thing that I think is helping keeping my weight in check this time, is I am much more picky about things I am eating...the last 2 times, everything sounded and tasted good..but this time, I am really picky, pickier than I have ever been in my life actually. Just the thought of cake or cupcakes or cookies (except for these one sugar shortbread cookies) makes me feel nauesous. In general, healthy food just sounds more appealing...which is good! I'm not having much cravings, execept for jalapenoes with popcorn or on sandwitches and for fresh squeezed lemonade (which I made last night and it is so good).
The baby is moving quite a bit now and Vinny actually felt the little one move last night for the first time...so that is pretty cool :D And most excitingly only 4 more days (not counting today because it's almost over) until my ultrasound! I can't even explain how excited I am....I will definately let you all know what the outcome is......

One of our favorite thing to do is go to this old style drive-in movie place in our area. It is so much fun and the prices are amazing..we started going back when Trey was still a baby, but now with the boys so interested in movies we started going quite a bit..the boys have been dying to see the new Transformers movie and we have been waiting to take them, but the weather is HOT...really hot even by Houston standards...At 9pm it is still in the 90s and humid(it's always humid so I've actually kind of gotten used to it) and there has been no wind...so we are not going to the drive-in and sweating our butts off in the dark.
Since they have been asking to go and we haven't done anything special since Vinny is off, we walked around the mall today and decided just to go to the actual movie theater there (we've been a few times there too, but the drive-in is just way cheaper over all..especially in the snack department, which we have no ability to just get one thing) But we went anyways...because we love our boys...It was fun and I love the movie theater...currently my favorite thing is popcorn with jalapenos...but sitting in the cold ac is SO nice. The movie was actually really good..I think it lived up to the first one and the boys were so into it. It's almost more fun watching them watch the movie the watching the actual movie itself. But if you do go see it, be for-warned it is a long movie...ours started at 12:30 and we got out of there at 3:15.
I really love going to the movies and we will be going to as many as we can before this next baby arrives....and hopefully the weather will cool down some so we can go back to the drive-in, that way I don't feel so guilty about going to the movies all the time!
On June 6th Tucker had his last tball game and I am definately not sad about this season ending. It was so hot Tucker really didn't want to play (and this boy loves baseball and could play all day everyday...) They had a little pizza party and he got a medal. It was a fun season and Tucker does want to play again next season...in fall once it cools down. I love watching him play sports and I can't wait for the next one to start.
I wanted to wish all of you daddies out there a Happy Father's Day. We are thinking of you all.
Vinny's parents came for a quick visit and it was good to see them again. The boys love having them here and of course we do too.

One of the boys good friends had a cute pirate birthday party. We all had a good time. Hope Ethan had a Happy Birthday!!
Tucker's preschool had their graduation a few weeks ago and I can't believe that in a year it will be Tucker graduating and going on to kindergarten. They had a cute little program, singing songs and stuff, but Tuck really didn't like that part to much.
The pictures are pretty fuzzy because the lighting was bad, but Tucker cracks me up...he is definately more of a sporty guy!
While they were down we went down to the coast for a little miny vacation. First we stopped at Kemah Boardwalk to walk around and have dinner. We wanted to ride some of the rides, but it was so busy, we decided not to and drove down to Galveston. We stayed the night at a hotel and the next morning we went to the Moody Garden's Aquarium. We love Moody Gardens and the aquarium is one of the best around. After that we decided to drive to the Houston Space Center. We haven't been there since Tucker was a baby, so it was a blast. They were doing a tribute to George Lucas, so there was a ton of stuff from his movies. The boys were in heaven (they are on a huge StarWars kick right now). Then there was this movie from the '80 called Tucker: The Man and His Dream (which I had no idea about) and they had tons of "Tucker" stuff. Tuck thought it was so cool and asked if he could buy the car because he wanted it because it had his name on it! It was a lot of fun walking around there and seeing everything. We need to go when it's not so hot out so we can take the tram tours out on to the actual NASA training grounds...but I am not sitting out in the heat right now. We all had a fun time and everyone was wore out at the end of the day!!! I love having family to do stuff with!
Back in May(that is how far behind I am) Jake, Jenn, Kaedie, and Braeden came down to visit so Jake could look into jobs down here and we had a blast. Vinny was home this time, so we were busy! As always we love spending time with them and the kids got along so well. Tucker was even interested in playing with Kaedance this time...she is getting so big and I don't think he sees her as a baby anymore (because she definately isn't!) I love having them here and maybe in the future they will be living here...
So here I am again so far behind on posting things on here and I don't even know where I should start...I have to look through my camera and figure things out...

Today Trey is 3 years old!!! I can't believe it and he thinks it is cool to be 3. I called him my baby this morning and he said he is not a baby he is 3 a big boy!! It was cute.
We are holding off his party until after my mom gets here, so today the plan was to bring cupcakes to school, but that is obviously out of the question, so I don't know what we are going to do today to make it special for him...I will figure something out!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TREY!!!
So today is my second day of work and where am I.....at home......why because Tucker puked his guts out this morning....So we are stuck at home....which might be a blessing in disguise because yesterday I got absolutely nothing done and my mom will be here Sunday morning.....but now an hour and a half after Tucker threw up he is acting completly normal and keeps asking when we are going to school and I keep telling him, you can't go to school if you threw up...I have a feeling it is going to be a VERY long day....
So I am really jumping around here, but I am officially a working woman!!! Back in April, while spending the day at Tucker's preschool, they offered me a job for the summer because one of the regular teachers isn't able to work during the summer. I was pretty excited about them asking so of course I said I would do it. So I have been busy since then getting all the necessary things done to work at a preschool..which is quite a bit of stuff..but it is all done, and today was my official 1st day of work. I works out perfectly, I get to work, but still spend everyday with the boys..Trey is also going to school there this summer. I am hoping that this gives Trey a smoother transition to me leaving him there this fall because he is not a fan of me leaving him anywhere. It's only part time, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-1, so it's a great place to spend a couple of days a week.
It was a good day overall. Tucker was a big helper, showing his brother the ropes of their daily activities and Trey didn't cry at all today (he almost cried once when they were singing their welcome song, which focuses on each child separately, and he did not like being singled out on his first day) But He seemed to have fun and didn't even eat lunch next to me..he ate next to one of the other teachers!
It looks like it is going to be one fun summer!!!
Tucker LOVES fishing....it is by far his favorite thing to do. We have been so busy we haven't gotten to go for a while, but Tucker always finds some way to keep his skills sharp! I took this picture in the middle of May (that is how far behind I am)..can you see his little fishing pole resting on the pool between his legs? He sat out there for about 45 minutes "fishing."
I guess I should really start off with our biggest news...I am as of yesterday 16 weeks pregnant! Vinny and I both wanted more kids, but we didn't exactly plan it for it to happen right now, but let's face it, when have our lives together ever gone the way we planned it...NEVER...seriously it never has. However, life, no matter what twists and turns have come up, has treated us very, very well, we are happy and healthy and living a very comfortable life. God really has blessed our family. So with that being said, we are pretty at ease and very excited about baby #3.
I really can't wait!! Vinny is hoping for another boy..he only wants boys, but I am really REALLY hoping for a girl. This we will find out on July 2nd, only a month to go!!! I am feeling pretty good, just very tired. I have a little belly going on, but I haven't really gained too much weight(with both boys I gained a TON of weight, so I am hoping that doesn't happen this time). The boys are both really excited and keep going back and forth whether they want a brother or a sister. Tucker said the funniest thing to me after I came back from my first appointment. He asked "where is the baby?" and I said "Still in my belly, they baby has to stay in there for a long time and my belly has to be really big before the baby can come out" He replies "oh ya, when I was a baby in your belly, your belly WAS HUGE!"....I don't think I will ever will forget that, he was so serious about our whole conversation! I just love that the boys are excited and understand (for the most part) what is going on..Tucker was so little when I had Trey he had no clue what was happening. I know they will be great big brothers!!!
So I will definitely keep everyone up to date on things...and think pink thought for me :D

I mean seriously where did the rest of May go???????? I really can't believe it is already June..it feels like it weather wise, but other than that it really can't be June can it?.........but I guess it is.....
We have been so busy and so much has happened, I don't even know where to start....I can't remember...these last few weeks have been such a blur...I need my calender and my camera to remind me.
My mom will be here on Sunday, so that means I only have 3 days (and what is left of today) to catch up on here before we are busy again..not that I'm not busy right now...we have numerous things going on each day until she gets here....
So I guess it is off my camera and my calender and get to updating the blog.
