New Washer!!

One day I noticed some water on the floor in our laundry room and realized it was from our washer...so I'm sad to report that the washing machine we have had since we were still dating (that Vinny got for free for signing a year lease on an apartment) finally bit the dust.) I'm a pretty sentimental girl, so it made me sad, but at least I got something pretty awesome to replace it! Now I need the matching the drier, but one thing at a time!

Cute things

The boys are always cracking me up doing and saying funny things. The other day in the car Trey and Tucker were talking and Trey asked Tucker, "when you grow up where are you going to sleep" Tucker didn't really answer him, just said "humm" So Trey says, "when you grow up you will sleep in the big adult room with mom and dad" and Tucker says "ya that is a good idea" and says "hey mom.." and proceeded to tell me their entire conversation... and of course I laughed and told him that he will still sleep in his own room, but we will get him a new bed. Then he says, "that's a good idea" and then tells Trey everything I told him and that Trey can sleep on Tucker's bed (the top bunk, Trey currently sleeps on the bottom bunk). They crack me up!

Then the other day, a different day..I don't really remember which one..our days kind of seem to roll into one big long day sometimes, but Ty was hanging out in his little chair in the living room and Trey was sitting by him holding his hand (like Trey usually does). I'm in the kitchen cooking dinner and I see Trey being very productive and doing a big "project" in the living room. After a few minutes I see this...
Trey decided that Ty needed "a lot of things" because he gets bored just lying there all the time. What a good big brother. Ty had about 5 blankets on and most of the toys from the toy box in the living room along with the truck ride-on toy, and a pillow!

My new obsession

I'm just a tab bit homesick..I always am and sometimes it is worse than others...right now it's a bit worse...I haven't been home in over a year. It sucks! Colorado is and always will be my home...so I will take anything that reminds me of it..like pictures and such, but my newest obsession is "Dog the Bounty Hunter" TV show. Why you might ask??? Because he does some of his shows in Colorado. One day I was reading on the guide on the tv that he was in Colorado, so I turned it on to see where at in Colorado and they were in Colorado Springs, which is the city I grew up in! So now I am obsessed with watching it to see if they are in Colorado.

I absolutely love watching because when they drive around the city, I know exactly where they are and it is almost like I am there too...I know pretty pathetic right, but I will take what I can get. This one time I was watching the show, they were actually on a street I used to live on, the "bad guy" didn't live there, but his friend did and they were asking his friend questions, but I was freaking out becaus I lived about 6 houses down from the house they were at!!!! It was crazy!

Well, the show is on right now and they are in Colorado, so I'm going to focus on the show and dream of being home :D

A subconscious reaction

Yesterday at the boys practice while I was watching them, I heard someone whistle(not a whistle from an actual whistle), not a quiet whistling a tune whistle, but one of the loud attention getting whistles...and I automatically turn to look around for my dad...he always whistled to get our attention while we were outside playing or playing sports or for various other things...he always has and he still does and I'm sure he always will. I obviously knew my dad wasn't here, but I had to look for him. I always miss my parents, but things like these really make me feel like we are missing out and I really hate being away from them. It's funny the little things I never imagined I would miss, but I have come realize as strange as it may seem, it is something I will always cherish.

A bummer of a weekend.

I bummed out because our weekend didn't go at all like the way we planned...and Friday didn't go very well either come to think about it....

So starting off with Friday, (I'll go with the short version so I don't ramble on..) we took Vinny's truck to Walmart to get the oil changed and a few hours later when we were leaving to go visit Vinny's parents for the night, Vinny went to put on some of his new cologne, one he just bought on Tuesday for 50 bucks...(he keeps all his cologne in his center console...he always has and probably always will) and it was gone...the lid was still in there, but the bottle was gone. So he went back to Walmart to see if he could get some answers about why one of his colognes were gone (there are 3 other bottles in there..all brand name, expensive ones...Vinny has a thing for cologne...) Of course they say that they didn't take it and the manager said that they looked at the security tapes, but it is not like they would be able to see anything anyways...so there is nothing they can do about it, but it just pisses us off. I figure the guy smelt all the colognes and took the one that smelled the best and figured Vinny wouldn't notice for a few days or weeks because there was more than one bottle in there. I can't believe some people...

We go to see Vinny's parents, which is always nice, but we had to leave this morning from their house by 6:30am to make it to the boys soccer game at 9:15. The game actually got canceled so we were up freaking early for nothing....

Then we were planning on going to the Renaissance festival today, it was opening weekend and tickets were really cheap...plus the weather out is amazing...we haven't been in 2 years..but they call Vinny at 7am and tell him he has to leave for work today instead of leaving on Sunday like they told him on Saturday....so that sucks...no festival for us and I don't know if Vinny will be off another weekend and even if he is, if I will actually be up for it when he is off.

Then since Vinny had to work earlier than we thought and we made an unscheduled trip to Vinny's parent's house our house it completely a wreck...we started moving things around and painting the baby's room....so crap is everywhere and the painting isn't finished, the crib is only part way put together and sitting out in the garage.....so who knows when things are actually going to get done now....

The only good thing about the weekend is the weather and because it is cooler out the boys are actually outside playing in the backyard and have been for at least an hour now...which they haven't done if forever!!! I'm sitting here in the living room with the windows open watching them play.

Grumpy Days....

Today is one of those days...it's not really a bad day, I'm just grumpy and things aren't really going my way... First off it is still WAY WAY TOO HOT. I hate it and I am so ready for it to be done, but it will still be hot for a few more months. We are getting ready to go run a couple of errands this morning and I let the dog out in the backyard and go to open the garage door (I always open the garage door awhile before we leave because it is so hot in there it makes the trash stink extremely bad) and who comes running into the garage as soon as the door opens...the dog....ugh...so it makes me mad...I put her outside to do her business so she can stay in the house while we run our errands..we won't be gone that long...so I have to go in the back and tie her up so she stays in the back...now she won't stop barking (her going in the back before we leave is nothing new..so I don't know why she is freaking out) So I just end up bringing her a bowl of water and leaving her outside..I feel bad because it is hot, but dang she pissed me off...

Then, the boys and I are getting in the car and I decide to move the trash can out onto the drive way because it stinks way to much and I don't want to smell that everytime I go into the garage (we have trash days twice a week here because it can get so bad in such a short amount of time) We missed Saturday's trash pickup because we were at Vinny's parents and I move the trashcan and there are a TON of ants and I am wondering why there are so many ants and turns out because we missed trash day and the lid wasn't on the trash can we have maggots...they are seriously the most disgusting thing ever and they are all over the one side of the garage....just thinking about it makes me want to vomit...it is so gross...so I get out the bug spray and start spraying everything killing the ants and maggots...but it still grosses me out...later on today I will have to go sweep up all the dead bugs. These are the things that make me hate Texas...Oh and the reason the maggots are everywhere and not just in the trash can is because our trash can is cracked on the bottom and Vinny went and bought the ultra heavy duty trash can..spent $80 bucks on it at Walmart...and we got a note from the trash people that this trash can it too big for them to empty....it is so stupid because they will take anything you leave on the curb...seriously anything, but they won't dump a bigger can. Oh and another thing that makes me mad is we can't leave our trash can outside where it can be visible from the street...so we have to leave that nasty can in the garage or walk it all the way back to the backyard to be hidden behind the fence...it's so stupid.

The whole reason I am running a few errands today is I need to pick up Tucker's shot record and Doctor's note up so I can turn it in to his preschool..and it is kind of a drive to the office, so I decide I will stop at Target and Academy. There was nothing good at Target, expcept for a few clothes for the new baby boy, but I'm sure I could have found them at the Target closest to the house...then I am leaving Target and realize...tomorrow is my doctor's appointment and I could have just picked up the paper after my appointment because my dr. office is half way from our house to the boys doctor..Basically I just waisted a trip and gas and everything when I could just do it tomorrow...without the boys...I seriously have no brain right now....but I decide I might as well just go pick it up anyways...

Drive there pick it up, then stop at Academy. We are in the crosswalk about to cross the street to the store and this car is coming and Tucker always stops and looks both ways, but I tell him it is okay to keep going because they have to stop for us when we are in a parking lot crosswalk..and what happens...this dumb ass keeps driving....I seriously wanted to kick his stupid car and I gave him a look that could have killed and he just shrugged his shoulders at me....Seriously...It's really not that big of a deal, but it just pisses me off.....But anyways..we go into Academy (which is a sporting goods store for those of you who might not know) and that was an even bigger bust than Target. They had nothing and to top it all off the boys were not listening to me at all..so we left without looking at the fishing stuff and Tucker was devistated, but I told him to stay beside me and he didn't and I was done sounding like a broken record...at least they both fell asleep on the way home and are still napping... Terry (our dog) is still outside barking..and as soon as she settles down, I will let her back inside....

Well, this was long and not very interesting, but I needed to vent or I would be stuck on this all day long...a good friend pointed out that this pregnancy has made me grumpy....which I very much agree with...but hopefully the rest of the day will go better......

I learned something new today...

I'm sure you have heard that saying "you learn something new everyday" well today I learned that I am don't really know how to use a melon baller...you think it would be pretty simple to make a ball, but it didn't work for me I got a lot of half balls and moon shaped things...but not one single ball...I don't know what I was doing wrong, but it did not work for me.....

I know that was random, really random, but everytime I think about it it makes me laugh....I never thought it would be so difficult to make a ball of melon with a melon baller :D

Blue Bell Ice Cream

I'm usually a big fan of ice cream, but for some reason this pregnancy it just really isn't appealing to me...which is crazy seeing it is so hot out, but it just doesn't....but there was a half gallon of Blue Bell (the very good local Texas brand of ice cream) in the freezer, so I thought I would try some...and man it was delicious!! I ate over half of the half gallon.....it was so good...it was called Moo-llennium Crunch..it is vanilla ice cream with chocolate and carmel pieces with walnuts, almonds, and pecans. It took all of my will power not to eat the rest for breakfast this morning!!

Ugh....

so I can't believe July is more than way done and I have only blogged once.....crazy.....we have been busy, but today I have some free time, so I get on the computer to upload some pictures and do some updating on here and the little memory card reader thing is not working...and since that is all I have been using to put my pictures on the computer for what seems like forever now, I have no idea where my usb cord for the camera is..and I just really don't feel like looking for it right now...so....

I'll just just make "list" on here that way when I get the pictures on the computer, I already know where to start.
*4th of July was a lot of fun...despite the dry weather we set off fireworks anyways!
*Vinny is still off so we have been busy doing stuff around the house...like...

*I bought a sewing machine finally...I've been wanting one forever and I finally got one...but it is not going as smoothly as I thought it would...

There is some other stuff, but I just don't really remember right now....so when I think of it I will post it.

Anyways, on a happy note, we finally got some rain. Since the beginning of June the weather has been HOT...highs in the 100s with the heat index 10-15 degrees higher. A couple of weeks ago the weather man said we were supposed to get rain the entire week. We got rain once...about 15 minutes of a very light shower..and the rain brought the extra humidity, so it was down right nasty outside. But the other day we had a Down Pour!! It was so nice and even brought the temperature down to the lower 90s! It has still been hot here, but it feels better than it did before.

Well, I'm off to look for my usb cord....I think I know where it is...but it's just so much easier using the card reader.....stupid computer! Hopefully pictures will be up on here soon!

Grapes...who knew???

Last year we dediced to plant grape vines because we wanted something to grow on what used to be a gazebo (only the metal structure is left standing...the fabric only lasted about 3 months). So we planted one on each side and the right one barely grew last year and the left one flourished...but neither produced grapes.

This year the left one is still healthy and huge and the right one is actually growing a bit more than last year....when the leaves started growing back we noticed what looked like little bunches of grapes, but they were so small, I wasn't really sure....today when I was watering them with the boys left over pool water ther were grapes.....a whole bunch of grapes...I'm excited!!!! Don't know what we are going to do with them because all the home grown grapes I have ever had have been really sour....but I'm just excited about the grapes growing!!! I actually never reall thought grapes were actually going to grow...who knew? ;-)

The humidity has returned....

So I'm very sad to say that the humidity and heat has returned....We actually caught a break this year because the years past it is pretty hot and humid already in March and this year it didn't come back until this past week. The one really bad thing is on Monday we has horrible rains (about 10 inches overnight in our area) which brought the mosquitoes back in full force.....

The boys are excited to get back in the pool and sprinklers, but I'm sure not looking forward to the never ending heat and humidity of summer...that lasts until the end of October.....

Flooded with Memories.....

So this morning when I walk outside to take Tucker to school....It felt like I was back home in Colorado....I'm serious..the way it felt outside...it was cool and crisp and even it smelt like Colorado....I swear if my eyes were closed I would have thought I was there. So since then I have been moping around here thinking of how much I really miss it.....we have been here 3 years already...3 years!!! I can't believe it has been that long..it seems to have gone by so fast and yet so slow......

It is always hard to be away from home, but especially now that the boys are getting older. My parents took us everywhere around Colorado and the surrounding states and I have so many AMAZING memories of our adventures I really want to share with the boys, but they are all 15+ hours away from us...so it seems like they are never going to see all the incredible places my parents to me and my brothers and my best friend :D I know we have a lot of years left to go see and do things, but at the rate time is flying already..it's going to go by too quick......

Now, I understand that we are making new memories and exploring new places, but I miss my mountains...with real camping, hiking, fishing, 4-wheel driving, and mountain biking...and I miss snow and having 4 defined seasons and being able to get them all in one week..and I miss leaves changing color, falling off and raking them in a big pile to jump in......most all though I miss my family and I HATE not having them close by...I miss having dinner with my parents most night of the week, even after Vinny and I were married...and getting together with everyone for every holiday because we love each other and really want to spend as much time together as possible.......

Don't even get me started on my other home...even though I've actually never resided in that state..it will always be my other home....Wisconsin.....I'm so happy we got to take the boys there and even though Tucker was only 2 he still remembers..milking cows and riding the tractor....having campfires and meeting his extended family.....I really hope we can go again very soon....man I love it there!!!

I wonder if I could ever love another place as much as I love my 2 homes.........I really don't think it is possible.....but we shall see I guess....life is about living and making the best out of every situation.......and most days I am very successful, but today that stupid de-ja-vu feeling of being in Colorado has me missing everything we left behind so intensely it hurts........

One foggy morning

These pictures are from the other morning. It was so foggy. I just love it...it just looks so cool. It was rarely foggy in Colorado, but here it is foggy a lot more, but not usually this foggy....I could bearly see down the street. The boys were pretty impressed by the fog too!

What a change...

...a change in the weather that is....you saw the pictures of the boys playing in the sprinkler the other day...well today is cold...not just cool, but down right cold...well for here anyways....80something 2 days ago and today we just got home and it was only 45 in the afternoon....cold...cold..cold!!!

You might think I am complaining, but I'm not, I LOVE the cold weather and I am actually pretty accustomed to crazy, unpredictable weather growing up in Colorado. It was nice, I even got to wear a sweater....tomorrow is supposed to be colder, so I'm pretty excited...it's nice to get some cold weather before the never-ending summer starts.

Spring has Sprung!

We didn't really have much of a winter..like usual, but we did get snow once in December, but it's official...Spring is here...I have to say I really love Spring. The weather is perfect, not to hot yet and no yucky humidity....and best of all things start blooming again...now it's not as good as it is in Colorado...because here things stay green here all year long..some of the trees don't even loose all their leaves, but it still is pretty...the thing I miss most though about spring time in Colorado is Robins...they always make me think of my gramma and I always love seeing the first robin of spring...I don't think we have those birds here...well at least not in our neighborhood.

I hope you like the pictures....the boys like picking me flowers...so they picked me some weed flowers and then Trey picked 3 of my daffodils off the plant...which I was not too happy about, but more are blooming...then I was just excited about our little tree getting some new leaves!
