My first sewing project!

I mentioned a while back I bought a sewing machine and after messing around with it and trying to figure out how this specific machine works, I finally made something.
It's nothing special, just a burb cloth and I sewed the decorative piece on the center. It was really easy and I have a bunch more to make...I just haven't gotten around to it...last time I made one Trey kept asking me questions and stuff and I wasn't focused on the project and I sewed it completely off centered.....so I was mad...but oh well...I'm excited to make some more stuff. I have a ton of ideas, I just need to get myself to the fabric stores....go figure all the Wal-Marts in our area are getting rid of the fabric department..so I have to actually make a seperate trip to one of the craft stores....

My Dr.'s appointment

Well, I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and it went pretty good. His heart rate was good...this time 142. She sort of went over the ultrasound I had at the beginning of the month. She told me that everything looked good, which is what the perinatalogist told me at the ultrasound anyways. Also it set my due date in stone for November 18th. Which makes me 23 and a half weeks right now. I was a bit irritated with her though because she scolded me for gaining too much weight this time. I don't feel like I have gained that much weight. My belly has gotten pretty big this last month, but my pants still fit, so I know the weight is only in my belly. I tried to explain to her that I did gain a lot of weight in my previous pregnancies, but she told me that she "must be more picky than my other doctors" So it is kind of irritating because I don't eat a whole lot and I do eat pretty healthy (minus the other day when I ate all that ice cream, but I haven't had any other sweets since that day..so it kind of balanced out..in my mind anyways ;) Then she went on to tell me that if I do gain too much weight this next month that she will send me to a nutritionist and I will have to start keeping a food journal and what not...so I'm just irritated about the whole thing...I am thinking about keeping a food journal right now and then if I do gain a lot of weight I can show her that this is just what my body does when I am pregnant...plus if I gain 10 pounds a months until I have the little guy..it will only be a weight gain of 50 pounds this time compared to the 65 pounds I gained the 2 previous times....so whatever doctor lady :P Oh and I laughed because she said my ideal body weight is 115 (you know when I'm not pregnant)...I was NEVER 115 even when I was in high school and in the best shape of my life.....I played sports and was busy and I ran usually anywhere from 2-7 miles a day each week and I always weighed right around 125..I was fit and trim..and I didn't really have any fat on my body but I always weighed more than I "should"...weight has never been a big deal for me...I'm just built heavier...but it just irritates me because she made me feel like a little kid getting scolded for eating too many cookies or something. She also told me that I should only eat about 2000 calories a day and that I'm only allowed to drink on glass of juice a day and that if I want to drink milk, I can only drink skim milk and I should try to cut back on the dairy a little because it is pretty high in calories(she said she isn't worried about cutting back on the dairy because she is making me take a calcium supplement which will make my calcium intake adequate). I'm not too happy about that...Wisconsin-America's Dairy Land- runs in my blood and I LOVE all dairy products....so it should go without saying and I am disregarding what my doctor said about cutting back on my dairy intake...that is the main part of my diet. I would die with out my milk, cheese, and yogurt. That is what I snack on when I get Hungary. And I feel it is better/healthier to eat dairy for snacks than sweets or crackers and whatnot. However, when we do go grocery shopping I will look for the reduced fat dairy products in stead of the regular...and I'm NOT buying skim milk...I will either buy 1% or 2%.....I love whole milk...so going from whole milk to skim milk will not work for me....At least I am compromising with what my dr. told me.....

But enough of that...it is making me irritated.....

I am still feeling good and I am already going through some slight "nesting" already...but it's not going that good because I can't do anything in the guest room/baby's room until Vinny builds me shelves in the closet and he has been so busy with things he just hasn't gotten around to it...so I have just been shoving things in the closet and mentally arranging things in my head. I bought a few more clothes for him and I bought him these cute little shoes....I am still having trouble deciding how I want to decorate, but I'll figure it out soon! One funny thing that has been happening lately is I crave things at the wrong times of the day...I want dinner foods at breakfast and breakfast at dinner and I ALWAYS crave coffee in a bad way right before bed...it's weird and drives me nuts...because I think about all night and then in the morning I don't want any.....

I'll post a new picture next week sometimes because I will be 24 weeks...6 months down...only 3 to go...YIKES....where is this time going....but it's okay we are all excited!!!

The rest of our painting

Here is the rest of the pictures of what we painted. Once you walk through our entrance way the rest of the house (well minus the bedrooms and bathrooms of course)is just one BIG room...it's a huge room with high vaulted ceilings. It was a lot of work to paint, but it actually wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. The color in the kitchen area and part of the breakfast room is Quiet Veranda. The color on the rest of the walls is Cresta Butte. Then on the back side of the bar is Wild Mushroom. Painting with the Cresta Butte color sucked and we had to do a bunch of coats, but in the end it turned out nice and really brings out the vaulted ceilings! It is nice to have something on the walls besides a creamy white color that was DIRTY because it was the builders paint and was not washable. Now we have clean pretty wall! The only room not painted is Vinny and my room and I think it is going to stay plain...it has vaulted ceilings too and I really don't feel like painting again...well except for when we change the guest room to the baby's room...I want to paint that, but Vinny doesn't...so I guess we will see about what we do it ;)

Blue Bell Ice Cream

I'm usually a big fan of ice cream, but for some reason this pregnancy it just really isn't appealing to me...which is crazy seeing it is so hot out, but it just doesn't....but there was a half gallon of Blue Bell (the very good local Texas brand of ice cream) in the freezer, so I thought I would try some...and man it was delicious!! I ate over half of the half gallon.....it was so good...it was called Moo-llennium Crunch..it is vanilla ice cream with chocolate and carmel pieces with walnuts, almonds, and pecans. It took all of my will power not to eat the rest for breakfast this morning!!

Painting-Entrance Way

We finally painted!! It was so much work...most of which Vinny did himself...I wasn't too much help. The colors weren't exactly what we expected, but it looks perfect and we love it...The entrance way color is "Camel" but it's kind of a yellowish-greenish color. The wooden side table and glass cabinets were already in the entrance way, but we did add the 2 trees and the half metal table with the plant.

The other day I was taking pictures around the house of all of our paiting...which I will be posting here shortly, but as I was looking around trying to decide how to get the best shot, I was holding my camera above my belly...and this is what I saw....

Moms Night Out...

So a few weeks back a few of my friends (whom all happen to be moms :) and I got together for dinner out. First we stopped at Target to see if the "princess" shoes (the sparkly ballet flats..they all have girls) were on sale and then we headed off to dinner. We decided to go to one of those Japanese Grill places where they make your food right in front of you. I had never been to one of these places before and let me tell you...the food was AMAZING!!! I haven't had food that good in a long time....The chef guy threw rice up for us to catch and I actually caught mine! I got the steak and shrimp and thought I would take some home for the boys to try, but I ate EVERYTHING (well expect for the mushrooms..I don't like mushrooms :P) If you have never gone before I highly recommend trying it out...It has been at least 2 weeks and I am still always thinking about going back there to eat. After dinner we were stuffed, but decided to go get some ice cream at Cold Stone anyways...we rarely ever get together without the kiddos, so we decided to make the most of our night!! It was so much fun and we will definitely have to do it again soon....hopefully more of the mommies can make it this time....I love you girls and I am so thankful for you all!!!!

4th of July Fun!!!

We spent 4th of July over at our friends Crystal and Eric's house. We had so much funa and also celebrated Lilly's 1st birthday too...last year we had to post-pone the 4th to the next weekend because she decided to make her enterance into the world on July 4th....

We set off a ton of fireworks and Tucker absolutely loved every moment of it! He was all in the mix with the adults trying to light off some fireworks. He even got to hold the ones that shoot out of the little canister you hold....he still is talking about it. Trey was not so excited about the fireworks. He didn't even want to go outside at first, but then decdided to watch. He thought they were pretty, but way too loud. So he spent the entire night with his hands over his ears. It cracked me up. He was finally really getting into it and one of the fireworks miss-fired and a peice of something flew over and hit him in the foot, so after that he went inside and watched from the window for a bit.

I love 4th of July....we always did it big back home in Colorado and I am so glad we have friends here to celebrate with!!

Ugh....

so I can't believe July is more than way done and I have only blogged once.....crazy.....we have been busy, but today I have some free time, so I get on the computer to upload some pictures and do some updating on here and the little memory card reader thing is not working...and since that is all I have been using to put my pictures on the computer for what seems like forever now, I have no idea where my usb cord for the camera is..and I just really don't feel like looking for it right now...so....

I'll just just make "list" on here that way when I get the pictures on the computer, I already know where to start.

Anyways, on a happy note, we finally got some rain. Since the beginning of June the weather has been HOT...highs in the 100s with the heat index 10-15 degrees higher. A couple of weeks ago the weather man said we were supposed to get rain the entire week. We got rain once...about 15 minutes of a very light shower..and the rain brought the extra humidity, so it was down right nasty outside. But the other day we had a Down Pour!! It was so nice and even brought the temperature down to the lower 90s! It has still been hot here, but it feels better than it did before.

Well, I'm off to look for my usb cord....I think I know where it is...but it's just so much easier using the card reader.....stupid computer! Hopefully pictures will be up on here soon!

IT'S A............

BOY!!

I had my ultrasound last week sometime and it's another little boy! I was sad when she told me....I really thought it was a girl and I really wanted a girl, but Vinny did make me feel better because he said he would keep having babies with me until we got our girl :P So that made me smile...but anyways....I am definitely excited about the new little guy....we are thinking we are going to stich with tradition and give him the initials TNT also....and the name we came up with that we both like is Ty Nolan. It's not 100% sure yet, but as of now we are pretty sure that is what we are going with. I liked Tycen, but Vinny said no because all he can think about is Tyson Chicken, but we both like Ty..but nothing is set in stone until we actually see him.

Back to the ultrasound...I had a Perinatologist do my ultrasound and she said everything looked good...good heartbeat, measurements we right on for my stuff and baby stuff...so that is good, but I will get the full report from my doctor soon. They only gave me one picture and it is not a good one....it's kind of a face/profile shot...his head was facing my back crammed up under my rib cage so it was hard to get a good shot. I was pretty bummed about that because her ultrasound machine had the 4-D thing and she was trying to get a picture like that and no matter what she did to my belly, he would just look up for a quick second, so we saw him, but we didn't get a picture of it. Oh and we took the boys to the ultrasound and they were kind of confused about it while it was happening, but they seemed to definitely be interested in it. Tucker is very excited about seeing the baby....he carried the picture out of the office and he is constantly looking at the picture. It was funny because we were all watching something on tv and something came on about an ultrasound and both boys were said hey we went there and were talking about how that is an ultrasound...Trey was cute and went on to ask if that was our baby!

We have started shopping a little bit (we gave away pretty much everything we had from Tucker and Trey except a swing and a pack 'n play)...I am having the hardest time trying to find stuff like bedding and such.....I am just being too picky...I don't want a theme...like transportation or sports or anything like that...and finding boy stuff in the colors I want without a theme like that is proving to be a challenge...but I'm sure I'll find something that works for me. We did get some cute little clothes, the front pack I really wanted, and bouncy seat...so we have some more shopping to do, but that is fine by me...I'm having fun with it! It's fun getting to take my time and really search for the stuff I really want. I am addicted to Etsy.com (it is a website where people can sell handmade everything and they have some amazing stuff on there) and amazon.com(they have the best deals)!

As for me I am doing good(I will be 22 weeks on Tuesday). Tired, but good. With Vinny being off he has given me plenty of opportunities to sleep in and take some nice naps. There have been a few times when I fall asleep in the afternoon and he wakes me up around dinner time and dinner is all ready set up on the table waiting for me to come and eat! He's so good to me!!! I love it!! It is still unbelievably hot here...highs right around 100 with a heat index of 10-15 degrees higher. It is HORRIBLE....it just wears me out and makes me nauseous...

This was taken at 20 weeks..so almost 2 weeks ago...sorry I'm slow we have been busy since Vinny has been off.
