Big Changes

This past summer we have made some pretty big changes. The boys and I are now living in Colorado! Vinny isn't here yet, but will join us as soon as he can.

We had a very busy and fun summer...saying good bye to our Texas friends and doing our last few Texas adventures. And once we made it to Colorado we hit the ground running. Tucker played a season of baseball, we went camping a couple of times, went on many hikes, went fishing, saw movies, went to playgrounds and splash pads, and spent lots and lots of time with our Colorado Family!

They big boys are going to school at the school my mom works at (which also happens to be my old elementary school..oh the memories..lol!). Things are finally starting to slow down just a little and I thought I would try to update the blog. I will do my best to play catch up of our summer fun and keep this thing better updated.

We're still Alive

Just to a quick note to let you (if there are any of ya out there) know we are still alive here...life is crazy and hectic, but things are okay.

My blogging absence

I just want to appologize in advance, we are going to some big changes around here and I know I won't be on the computer much.

I do promise to eventually get back on here and give some updates on our life!

As if you needed more proof!!

Just in case you needed some more proof that Ty is a monkey..here ya go...he figured out how to climb up our big playhouse and slide down all by himself(we have a small climb and slide for his size and age, but NO..he has to climb on the BIG one!!)..he just needs someone at the bottom to catch him because he hasn't figured out how to slow himself down yet!

I wasn't kidding about Ty being a Monkey!!!

Ty is wearing me down!!! He does this all day long........(sorry this one is blurry, but I am taking the picture as I am walking over to get him down before he falls).......

These particular pictures were taken this past Saturday. He was up standing on dining room table so many times I lost count after 25! He can get up there in like 2 seconds flat...It drives me CRAZY because I know he is going to end up falling off and hurting himself! He is getting daring and will walk straight to the edge of the table and look down to the ground..I have actually caught him a couple of times as he is leaning over the side almost falling!

He will NOT stay down, so I brought out our pack-n-play and I am using it as a time out spot. I take him directly from the table and set him in there...he is NOT a fan! But hopefully he will learn..and learn he can't be up there without falling out the table first!

He also climbs on anything and everything he can..this is our end table...I called his name and he waved to me....

At least he knows how to get down from here without hurting himself....

SNOW DAY!!!!

Well, last Friday they cancelled school the night before because we were 'supposed' to get anywhere from 1-4 inches of snow!!!! We were all so excited and could not wait to to play in the snow!!! But we woke up Friday morning...NO SNOW!!!!!!!!!! NOT A SINGLE FLAKE!!! Just a thin sheet of ice covering everything! It was FREEZING and the ice was horrible, so it was a good thing they canceled...but it's not like the boys could go out and play in the ice!!! Needless to say it was pretty dissappointing!!! I busted out some arts and craft stuff we don't do on an everyday basis and the big boys got to paint while Ty was napping.


There was a lot of fighting and wrestling..even Ty got in on some of the action!

The sun came out a little bit around nood and the ice melted, but it was so cold, it just froze again...


Right after I went took these pictures Tucker asked if he could go outside and look at the ice cicles..so he bundled up and went outside and knocked every single one of them down. I was so sad...this could be the only time this year we have ice :( Oh well at least Tucker had fun!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUCKER (even though I'm like a week late)

I am seriously sucking at this blogging thing...I totally missed wishing Tucker a happy birthday on his 6th birthday...BAD MOMMA!

He had to go to school on his birthday, but that was okay because we went and had lunch with him and he got to wear this awesome birthday hat all day long!


The big boys definitely miss doing everything together..they are best friends (even though they won't admit it) and they really love each other no matter how much they get on each others nerves! They have such a special bond!

I still canNOT believe he is 6 years old!!!!! Gosh I love him so much!!!!

His 2 favorite gifts...a PSP and a baseball bat (he should be starting another season of baseball sometime this month.)

4th tooth

Ty is finally getting his 4th tooth! He looks so funny with only 3 teeth...I love it!!!

Ty eating with a fork

Ty has recently been attempting to feed himself with a fork. Well yesterday he finally mastered this skill! (Well, I guess not mastered, but he does a great job.) He is so funny because he concentrates so hard...the first collage is cracks me up because he was having trouble stabbing his food, so he tried with his right hand first, then switched to his left hand, then gave up and just used his mouth!

Finally he was getting food into his mouth with his fork...he was so proud of himself. He was clapping for himself!

Our first major renovation!

We bought our house almost 5 years ago...I can't believe it has been that long already. Anyways, we were lucky enough to buy a brand new house. It is an awesome house, but it was already built, so we didn't get the opportunity to pick out every little thing about it. Through the years we have done things here and there..like decorating, painting, buying furniture and things like that, but nothing to drastic. But this past week we have started our first major renovation. We are redo-ing the hall bathroom..which is funny because it is one of the first things we painted too. I love the bathroom..it was my idea completely and did pretty much all the work, but it's green and we have now painted the rest of the main parts of our house shades of green and this green in the bathroom is not exactly the same green and the other greens...so I was ready for a change...so we decided...let's go BIG...so we (well, no Vinny did all the work) totally gutted the bathroom. The only bad thing is that Vinny was called to go to work sooner than we thought, so the bathroom is still completely gutted...Pretty Crappy...but whatever...such is our life... I am going to paint and then when Vinny is able he is going to tile the floor (this is the first time he will be doing this so hopefully he is good at it because we really would like to tile the majority of our house because we are sick of carpet!) We bought a new Vanity and fixtures and such. I'm so excited about this...hopefully it will turn out great and be done soon!!! I will definitely keep you updated on this process!
