Our Handsome Boys!

I snapped these pics at the Ren Fest...I love these shots. I LOVE this one of Tucker..he is such a good photo taker! Trey can be such a booger at times...he is anti-picture right now...as soon as I snap the shot he is smiling at me..saying "that was my mean face!" Ty's cheeks look extra chubby in this one...I just want to nibble on them...he was making a face at me too!

Fun at the Renaissance Festival

We had a fun-filled family day at the Ren Fest in our area!

We let the boys do some fun activities!!







We walked around the entire place, which was huge and had some great food...I wish I would have taken pictures of what we ate, but I was too busy eating :D Anyways, we had a fried peanut butter and jelly sandwitch (which was GOOD) with ice cream on top (which Ty loved), a turkey leg, corn on the cob, beef jerkey, a lamb gyro (which was my favorite, although I was a getting over a really bad cold, so I couldn't taste very good...) and we also got a frozen lemonade and a frozen pomagranite slush, which was good too.
Ty's face cracks me up...he was just in awww of all the sights and sounds...I wish we could have heard what he was thinking because it is definitely 'different' there!
The highlight (besides the food) was the Joust! Tucker LOVED it the most...he wanted a front row seat! It was pretty neat!


Trey wasn't as into it as Tucker was, it was hot and all he cared about was drinking his frozen lemonade. He was nice enough to share it with Ty...even though the drink was about as tall as Ty.

We ended the day with 2 pretty awesome wooden swoards! Daddy sure does spoil his boys!

It was such a fun day and everyone was exhaused afterwards! If you have never been to a renaissance festival before, you should definitely check one out! It is quite an experience!!!

In the 'swing' of things...

Baseball and T-ball season is in full swing!! The boys have been asking to play, so we signed them up. It turned out to be a little crazier than I expected because all the games are on weeknights. Each boy has two games a week and one of those days each boy has a game at the exact same time on exact opposite sides of the complex (about a half mile apart). Oh well such is life of a Baseball Mom :D



This is Tucker's 2nd season, last year he played t-ball at the Y, but this year we found a new organization to play for and he was old enough for Coach Pitch!!! He is THRILLED about this and really LOVES it! I am one proud momma, he has hit the ball every time he is up and the last few games, he has been hitting it all the way to the outfield! He needs a little work in the field, on where to throw the ball or when to not throw it, but he can field a ground ball, catch the ball (well, like 75% of the time), and he has a great arm! It is so fun watching him play!





Trey is playing his very first year of t-ball, but is not loving it. He was excited at first, but it is wearing off. A couple of games ago while playing short stop, a boy from the other team (who hit really hard) hit the ball, it bounced and hit Trey right in the mouth. And ever since then, it has been a struggle to get him on the field to play. Once he is out there, he enjoys it, but he is not very happy about playing anymore. I wish he wasn't scared though (or whatever is keeping him from wanting to play..we also think part of it might be because he isn't playing with Tucker and he is used to having Tucker there with him for everything, so that has been a HUGE change for the boys since school started.) He is one of the best hitters on the team. He does need to work on his throwing a bit, but he does a great job when he is actually out there on the field.

Happy Fall!

Everyone loves Fall in this house, so to celebrate the season change I bought the boys wooden pumpkins to paint. They love painting and are getting better at it everytime...meaning more paint on the project, less on the table, chairs, hands and well the rest of their bodies for that matter.

College Spirit Day

Today at Tucker's school is wear your favorite college shirt..we happen to only actually own 1 college shirt in Tucker's current size...

In case you can't read his shirt...it says Wisconsin! Have a feeling he is the only kid with that college on his shirt :D
I wore my shirt to show my support too. (Just ignore my bad attempt at a picture...it's hard to do a self picture with my big camera and I don't trust Trey to hold it either...but you get the idea right? And Ty woke me up at 5:30 this morning and didn't go back to sleep...so needless to say I'm tired)


Oh and FYI, if they happen to have an NFL spirit day he will wear a Green Bay shirt!

Trey the 'big boy'

Now that I have finally caught up a little bit here, I realized that I forgot Trey's first day of preschool for this year..which was on August 30th.

I was a little worried because he has only ever been to school with Tucker, so going on his own could be scary. During summer he went back and forth between being super excited to go on his own to asking to skip his last year of preschool and just go to kindergarten with Tucker. But on the first day, he walked into the classroom, realized it is the exact same as is was before and didn't have any hesitation. He told me I should leave. I was happy there were no tears! He is becoming such a big boy!

He is still loving school, on days he doesn't have school, he asks to go and when I tell him he has school for the day he says "yes, I love school" I am so thankful for his preschool and the teachers there. We LOVE the school.

The first picture is of Trey's mean face (the face batman makes at the bad guys) and he insisted on wearing his backpack like that. Then he did make a nice face for the second picture. Oh and if you notice his shoes..his laces aren't tied...Trey had a special way of tucking in the laces...it was 'his' way of tying!

10 Months Old!

Why oh why is Ty so old already!!! He is growing so fast and it makes me sad..before I know it he will be a year old! Ty's personality is really starting to show through. He knows what he wants and what he doesn't want. And boy oh boy does he get MAD if he doesn't get his way or if, for example, I give him his sippy cup and he doesn't want it, he throws it or hits it away! He is cracking me up because he will crawl away from me (usually chasing after the cat) and I tell him to come back and he looks back at me and he babbles back at me. I LOVE it...it's so cute. He is still into everything and his favorite place to explore it the kitchen.


He is getting so close to walking..I wish he would just do it already!! He is standing up from the ground without any help and then he usually tries to take a step or two. The most I have ever seen him take is 5, but Vinny saw him take 7. I love the little Frankenstein walk! He is so proud of himself for walking...he thinks he is big!




Ty hasn't been napping very good lately, so I was shocked when he fell asleep in the high chair. It was in there less than 5 minutes before he was passed out cold..he still had food in his hand and in his mouth (which I fished out as soon as I snapped the pictures and picked him up out of the chair). He also has been very restless at night..so that is definitely a bummer..hopefully he will go back to his normal sleeping self soon!

Ty's little teeth finally broke through! They are so cute..the bottom right came in first and then about a week later the bottom left came in. I sure do love them little 'teef' but I miss his gummy smile!


Ty is still a good eater, but he is getting picky sometimes. There are times when he only wants finger foods (which is getting hard to find a variety of healthy options for him all the time) and then sometimes he is content with regular baby food. He had yogurt for the first time the other day and he is so funny eating it because it's cold so he kind of smacks his mouth and 'chews' slowly. He LOVES peas, cooked whole peas...not the pureed kind. We have given him a taste of ice cream and he is CRAZY about it anytime anyone has any kind of ice cream or popsicle he screams until he gets a bite and will keep screaming until he gets more.

New Washer!!

One day I noticed some water on the floor in our laundry room and realized it was from our washer...so I'm sad to report that the washing machine we have had since we were still dating (that Vinny got for free for signing a year lease on an apartment) finally bit the dust.) I'm a pretty sentimental girl, so it made me sad, but at least I got something pretty awesome to replace it! Now I need the matching the drier, but one thing at a time!

Friday Night = PJ Movie Night

Since Tucker is now a big kindergartner and it seems like he is ALWAYS at school, we are trying to make even more out of our family time...so we have designated Friday nights as PJ movie night. We all get in our pjs and make a "blanket" bed on the floor in the living room and watch a family movie together! We all love it..we try to watch a new movie (or new to the boys at least). Last Friday we watched Prince of Persia..which was a big hit! We are going to try to do this every Friday!

How can this be??

How the heck is September almost over and I haven't posted anything...not a SINGLE ONE!!! At least this time it is NOT because I am being a slacker (which, let's face it, is usually the case ;P) We have just been SO busy! School is in full swing for both boys and they recently started baseball...which has turned into much, MUCH more of a *thing* than I thought it would be. Vinny's dad has been going through treatment for his leukemia and while not in the hospital, he has been staying with us. I was barely making it by with only our regular things going on...and adding these extras....well...let's just say there isn't a whole lot of free time around here. (Last night I was asleep by 9:30...so I'm up past my usually bed time just to post this one...I figured I needed to at least post a little bit on here, so you don't think that we fell off the face of the earth or something!)

As always (when I haven't posted in awhile...I'll leave you with a promise) I promise to *try* and post some new things on here soon..but no guarantees :D Oh ya and HAPPY FALL!!!
