Last night before bed I was a little bored, so I took some pictures..they were too cute not to post..There are none of Trey because he was already asleep...

Oh how they grow!!!!

I really can't believe how fast these babies grow...last night when I put Ty into the bath he looked huge...so I went and found an old picture of him in the bath to compare. The frist picture was taken on 12/1/2009 and the next picture was taken on 1/23/2010....what a difference!

First time in the Bumbo

Ty has really good head control already, so I decided it was time for him to try out the Bumbo. He sat in it really well, but didn't really tolerate it for too long. Most of the time he was looking at his feet...probally wondering what the heck those things are! It was so funny...

Family Game Night at preschool!

Friday night at Tucker and Trey's preschool, they had their first Family Game Night! We played Bingo and then watched classic Mickey Mouse cartoons! It was a great way to spend a Friday!!!

We have an old Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 that we forgot about and just found, so we decided to hook them up in the boys room to play...here is a picture of Vinny playing the Super Nintendo with the boys! I thought it was cute!

Ty-2 months old!

Yep, that's right!! Ty is already 2 months old!!! He had his check up on the 12th and weighs 13 pounds even and is 24 and 1/4 inches long. That puts him in the 75th percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for height. When she told me he was that tall I laughed....I couldn't believe he is in the 95th%...I knew he was big, but I didn't think he was that big. I checked the big boy's baby books and at 2 month Tucker was 11 pounds 14ozs and 22 and 1/2 inches and Trey was 13 pounds 13ozs and 23 and 1/2 inches (although, Trey didn't have his 2 month check up until he was 2 and a half months and at this age 2 weeks can make a big difference, so I think Ty will be pretty close to Trey's weight at 2 and a half months too..Tucker's check up was right at 2 months like Ty) But, I just think it is so funny because Ty and Trey were both born a little smaller, but grew much faster and Tucker was born the heavier baby and always stayed on the smaller side(10 percentile for weight and 5 percentile for height). But Ty has the same personality Tucker had when he was a baby..and right now we think he looks more like Tucker, but the looks are always changing! Well anyways back to the doctor appointment, she told us his lungs are free and clear from the RSV and she said most babies get ear infections with RSV, but Ty's ears looked clear. Everything else she said was perfect!! A very healthy boy!! He had to get 3 shots and 1 oral. The nurse was getting ready for him to spit it all out, having a tissue ready, but as soon as she squeezed some into his mouth he sucked it right down and was happy to get some more...and she said "wow, he really doesn't have a problem eating anything" and of course he doesn't .. this boys loves food. The doctor and I were both cracking up because every time we would lay Ty down on the table his little legs would start kicking and kicking and kicking, nonstop until he was picked up. It was so cute!!! She was impressed at how active and strong he is and she thinks he will be mobile sooner rather than later!

Ty still hasn't laughed, but he is really coming close...he is still talking and cooing a bunch and I am still loving it. He has even started cooing at Tucker and Trey and they both just love it! I think they are just as excited as I am about any new milestones Ty reaches! Ty is usually sleeping about 8 or 9 hour stretches at night. He likes to go to sleep around 8:30, but I am trying to keep him up a little later at night that way I can sleep a little later in the morning, but he doesn't always go for it. When he wants to sleep, he will sleep and no matter what I do, he will stay asleep. He has grown out of pretty much all his 0-3 month and 3 month clothing and is almost out of his size 1 diapers..we are half way through a big pack and if I didn't have the rest of those open diapers to use, he would already be in size 2! My new obsession

I'm just a tab bit homesick..I always am and sometimes it is worse than others...right now it's a bit worse...I haven't been home in over a year. It sucks! Colorado is and always will be my home...so I will take anything that reminds me of it..like pictures and such, but my newest obsession is "Dog the Bounty Hunter" TV show. Why you might ask??? Because he does some of his shows in Colorado. One day I was reading on the guide on the tv that he was in Colorado, so I turned it on to see where at in Colorado and they were in Colorado Springs, which is the city I grew up in! So now I am obsessed with watching it to see if they are in Colorado.

I absolutely love watching because when they drive around the city, I know exactly where they are and it is almost like I am there too...I know pretty pathetic right, but I will take what I can get. This one time I was watching the show, they were actually on a street I used to live on, the "bad guy" didn't live there, but his friend did and they were asking his friend questions, but I was freaking out becaus I lived about 6 houses down from the house they were at!!!! It was crazy!

Well, the show is on right now and they are in Colorado, so I'm going to focus on the show and dream of being home :D

New Years Day 2010/Our 5 Year Anniversary

New Years day is Vinny and my wedding anniversary..we really didn't know what we wanted to do, so we just got in the car to drive around (we do that a lot) and decided to drive down to Kemah Boardwalk. We had an amazing lunch looking over the bay and walked around the boardwalk and rode on some rides. It was a lot of fun. Tucker and Trey rode of few of the kid rides and loved it. Then we measured Tucker and realized he is tall enough(just barely) for some of the bigger rides. So he and Vinny went and rode a few of them. Tucker wasn't the least bit hesitant or scared, he was just down right excited! We could just tell he was so excited and proud of himself for going on these big rides! After riding the rides we ate a funnel cake, played a few games, and walked around a bit more..by that time it was starting to get dark, so we headed for home. I was really wanted to do something special just Vinny and I, but lack of planning kind of messed that up, but honestly I'm glad it did...it was a lot more fun spending a day of family fun together. I loved it! -I realized I don't really talk about Ty much..and don't worry he was with us..but he is just such a good little guy, he slept in the carseat the entire lunch, I stopped to feed him in the car while Vinny bought ride tickets, then I put him in the frontpack and he slept the entire time we were doing our thing on the boardwalk.

New Years Eve

We had a quiet, but fun New Years Eve as a family. Where we live, shooting fireworks is a big thing..and Vinny and Tucker LOVE shooting them off, so that is what we did once it got dark. I don't know what the deal was with the fireworks we bought, but they were not very good...safety wise anyways..and I know..fireworks aren't really that safe..but these seemed to be worse..the little tubes you put the lit fireworks in to shoot it up..we had 4 and 3 of them exploded..which isn't supposed to happen, then Vinny lit one off and it miss-fired and ended up hitting him in the shoulder..it burnt a whole through his new jacket and through his t-shirt too..he was really lucky it didn't hit him in the face or hit one of the kids...despite the little mishaps..we still had a good time and lit off all of our fireworks. Tucker and Trey made it up until 11pm and then they went to sleep and Ty had been asleep since about 9:30..so Vinny and I watched the ball drop together on TV then went outside and watched some more fireworks other people were shooting off! It was a fun Eve :D

Ty at 7 weeks

On Dec. 30th Ty turned 7 weeks. On Christmas Eve he developed a little cough that turned into a pretty bad cough in the following days (it was very deep, wet cough). We were a little worried about him, but he never developed a fever and he was still eating his normal amount..if not more. So first thing Monday (the 28th) we called the doctor and took him in. Turns out he has RSV(Respiratory syncytial virus, which is a very contagious infection of the lungs and breathing passages, in older kids and adults it is just a common cold, but for babies can be more serious...we are sure Ty caught this from Tucker and Trey..which they caught at school..because they each had a cough the week before and no matter how many times we told them to stay out of Ty's face because they had a cough, they were constantly in his face...they just love Ty so much, they can't help themselves and are always giving them hugs and kisses). But anyways Ty has RSV and the treatment is breathing treatments with a nebulizer every 4 hours. She said she thought it was just the beginning of it and he would most likely get worse before it got better and to call if his eating habits change or gets a fever or something, but thankfully he has only gotten better. He still has a little cough, but it doesn't sound wet anymore. We are so thankful...it was a little scary having a sick baby..especially since he is still so young..we have only had to take Tucker to the doctor once for being sick and we have never had to take Trey..we are really blessed to have healthy kids and even though we did have to take Ty, he recovered pretty fast!

While at the doctor they weighed him and he weighed 12lbs 1.5ozs! He is such a little chubby guy! He has already grown out of all his 0-3 month clothes and all the 3 month stuff is starting to get a little small..he is already wearing 3-6 month in a few of the brands! Before he got sick, he was sleeping from about 9:30pm to 4:30 or 5am! It was so nice. Then even when he was sick he was sleeping for about 4 or 5 hour stretches at a time, which is pretty good and last night he slept for about a 6 hour stretch. Right now his looks are reminding us so much of Tucker. Later on today I am going to go through all our picture cd's and try to find a picture of Tucker and Trey at the age Ty is right now. He is smiling a lot more often now and has even started cooing. It is one of the sweetest noises I have ever heard..I just love it! I am hoping he will laugh any day now..I can just feel it..he wants to laugh!
