Singing at Church

The boys preschool class sung in church this past Sunday. Tucker and Trey just stood there. Trey just stood up there looking kind of confused and Tucker was smiling at first, but then he got really shy and covered up his eyes with his hands. It was so funny watching them up there...I know they know all the words to all those songs, but they obviously did not want to share their beautiful voices with the rest of the congregation.

Last soccer game

Saturday was the boys last soccer game of this season. They both did really good and Trey even played goalie! We are taking a break from sports next season, much to Tucker and Trey's disappointment, but come spring time and we will be back in the swing of it.

38 Weeks!!!

One week left!!! AGH!!!!! I had my check up today and things went well..nothing really new to report. I belly measured 41 and my blood pressure is still good. My c-section is scheduled for November 11th at 7:30pm. I am really not looking foward to having to wait ALL day long, but oh well nothing I can do about it, so I'm trying not to dwell on that fact. I need to call the doctors office to get some more details because all she said to me was..."we will see you back next week in the clinic at 11:30 then in the evening for the c-section"..no instructions..no paperwork...nothing...so I need to call and figure things out...I know I've been through this before, but that was three years ago and to be quite honest...I can't remember a lot of the details...and things are always changing anyways.

Soccer season comes to an end.

Well, almost...the last game is actually on Saturday, but yesterday night we had the boys soccer party instead of practice because of the time change, it would have been dark at our practice. We went to Chuck-E-Cheese and of course the boys had a blast, but it was a little unorganized and chaotic because we don't have a coach any more. Trey was thrilled to finally get a trophy..he has been wanting one since Tucker got one last year. I'm sad the season is almost over..I love watching them play, but I know there will be many, many more seasons to come!

Park Fun!

Since the new little guy will be here very shortly, I have been trying to do some special things with Tucker and Trey. Yesterday, we got some lunch and went to one of our favorite parks in the area. We ate lunch, fed the ducks, played around the pond, and then went and played at the playground. Even though we didn't go fishing, the boys still had a fun time. After we were finished at the park, we went to Dairy Queen and had a tasty treat.

Diapers and wipes are essential...everyone knows it....so I have been stocking up for quite a while now. I didn't realize I had bought so much....It is a good thing though....I'm sure we will use all of it before I know it.

Picnic Dinner

The weather has been really nice for the past couple of days..so on Friday, the boys asked to eat their dinner outside....so of course I had to take a picture! The sure did have fun eating outside and ate every bit of food I gave them..which is pretty unusual...maybe we should eat dinner outside more often!

Halloween!!

We had a really fun Halloween! One of our friends decorated their house up like a haunted house and told us we had to come over and check it out...so our plan was to go check out the haunted house and then go home to go trick-or-treating, but once we got over there, we were having so much fun we stayed there all night. When we first got there we walked through the house(before all the lights were out and the people weren't in place yet) and it was AMAZING...I'm not kidding, they really went all out. Tucker was so excited and thought it was the coolest thing. Trey, however, did not like it at all. He didn't cry about it, but his little body was so tense and he was just clinging to me. Then the boys and I did a little trick-or-treating on their street, then came back to the house. Tucker and his friend, Ethan(whose house were were at) asked to go through the house now the it was "scary", so we sent them in and Ethan comes back out the front door a few minutes later without Tucker and a few more minutes later Tucker comes walking out of the back..where you are supposed to come out from..with big smile on his face...He had so much fun and really loved it!! It was pretty scary in there, but Tucker didn't mind one bit...we always tell him, these things are just pretend and don't do anything and he kept saying...it's not scary, it's just pretend! He is growing up so fast.... A little while later one of the dads was taking all the kids trick-or-treating again and the boys went along with him...even Trey..I was shocked...Trey rarely does things without me and he went along with all the other big boys, without a second thought as to leaving me behind...now he is really growing up too.....It is definitely a Halloween to remember!

I got outvoted this year and the boys got to pick out whatever costume they wanted...instead of me creating something unique and fun(last year they were little canoers and the year before they were fisherman). Trey is Bumble Bee and Tucker is Optimus Prime.

Carving Pumpkins!

On Friday night the boys and I decided to carve our pumpkins. I love that the boys are able to help out more and more each year. This year they pretty much pulled out all the seeds by themselves and all I had to do was scrape out the guts. While I was scraping out those guts I had the boys go through their Halloween books and pick out a picture of what they wanted their pumpkin to look like. Tucker's pumpkin is the big one. Trey's pumpkin is the smallest one and then on the 3rd pumpkin, Trey picked the eyes and nose and Tucker picked out his mouth. Vinny is definitely the more artistic one between the two of us, so the pumpkins always look better when he does them...so I did the best I could do since he is still working. The boys told me they loved their pumpkins and Tucker even told me, "thank you for carving pumpkins" I love when he uses good manners like that! It makes me proud :D We saved the seeds like my mom always did and today we baked them in the oven with some seasonings and they turned out delicious!!! I love this time of year!!!!
