Mother's Day 2013

In accordance to our Mother's Day tradition, my mom and I picked going on a hike to spend our special day!  It was a pretty good hike and we all enjoyed it!

Zoo Day

In true Colorado fashion, 5 days after the huge snow storm, all evidence of snow was gone and we had a free day, so we ended up at the zoo.  It was a little chilly, but walking around kept us warm enough to enjoy.  We got to explore the new elephant exhibit and even watch an elephant training session.  It was a pretty great day at the zoo.

May 1st = Snow Day

May 1st brought us a huge snow storm and a snow day for the kiddos!  And of course the boys enjoyed the snow and played outside for quite a while!  Gotta love the crazy Colorado weather!

My b-day ...things are a little out of order...

I was on my phone and realized that I missed out on pictures from my b-day back in March.  Kim and my birthdays are only 3 days apart so we celebrated together with a surf and turf dinner.  It was fun and delicious!!!  Oh and just so everyone knows I'm the younger one ;P

Ice Skating!

For Bella's birthday she wanted to go ice skating!  The boys had never been before and for me it's been over 10 years since I had been on the ice...luckily for me it's like riding a bicycle and I did fine once back on the ice.  The boys actually did pretty good!  Trey was nicknamed crazy legs because his legs just did funny things out on that ice, he had 2 huge bruises on the inside of his knees from the awkward way he skated using the bucket's assistance.  Tucker got frustrated because he didn't pick it up automatically and ended up falling quite a bit, but by the end of the session, he was working it out on his own (because he would just rather get frustrated and fall than take advice from anyone).  Ty actually really liked it, he did good on his own just pushing the bucket around, but it was much better if I just did all the work for him, so I spent much of the skating hunched over pushing him around in circles!  This is definitely something we want to go do again.

That's right my baby played t-ball.  He was the youngest and smallest player on the team, but he did great!!!!  I was so proud of him and how far he came throughout the season (which games ran from the beginning of May to the end of June.)  I coached his team along with Kim and another dad and our team rocked it!!!  We all had a blast and Ty can't wait for next season!!!

Easter 2013...at a glance

Finally lost another one

Back in the end of March (I'm slowly, but surely catching up on things) Trey finally lost his 2nd baby tooth...this tooth like the last one was hanging in there for way longer than it should have been, but he pulled it out on his own and was very excited!!

A different sorta St. Patty's Day Celebration!

This St. Patty's Day we did something different to celebrate...we (me, my brother, Jenny, Issac, Kim, and her mom) ran in a 5K.  Then after the adults ran, there was a kids run. Tucker ran the older kid race, which was 1 mile and he was awesome!!  Then me and my 3 boys all ran in the half mile race.  (Trey could have totally ran the 1 mile race, but was nervous because parents we not allowed to run with kids, so he only wanted to do the one I could run with him....but about 5 seconds into the half mile race, Trey took off and ran the entire race himself...he did great!!).  Then Ty..I wasn't sure how he was going to do with this running thing, but just ran and ran and ran...it was so cute because he was just weaving in and out of people and ran the entire way to the finish line. I was so proud of them and they were proud of themselves.  Gramma and Grampa were there cheering all of us on and they stayed downtown and watched the parade with the grandkids, but Kim and I had to run off to a baseball meeting!

 

It was a pretty awesome day and I definitely think we are going to do it again next year!!

(oh and as far as my time, it was pretty good... 29 minutes 41 seconds...especially for being a 100% flat course...I have a harder time when there aren't any hills...but it was still good...my goal was to be under 30minutes and I did it!!)
