Wii Fun!

A few weeks back we finally bought a Nintendo Wii. We have wanted one for the longest time, but everytime we went to the store they were always sold out..Always..it sucked..but we finally gave up looking and then one day Vinny went to Blockbuster and they had one left, so he bought it. Well, we didn't set it up right away because our big tv in the living room went out, so we had to buy a new one and we also ordered a corner tv stand off the internet because the way our house is set up the only place for a stand or entertainment center to go without covering up any windows is in the corner.....well, we finally got all that set up and hooked up the Wii the other day! And I wish we wouldn't have waited because we all LOVE it. It is so fun and surpizingly it is such a great family activity! The boys can even play some of the games we got (with a little help of course). Vinny and I have a compition going on the Wii fit to see who can get better scores....and I hate to say it, but he is kicking my butt on most everything...but that's okay with me because I beat him in the BMI(body mass index) and my overall fitness age is WAY better than his...so it's alright :D Then yesterday I convinced Vinny to get Guitar Hero World Tour and it's by far my favorite game!!! If you have never played Guitar Hero, you really should because it's a BLAST!

We have had so much fun with the Wii..I didn't think the boys would be so good about everything, but we really are enjoying this thing together.

FINALLY...I'm all caught up on posting pictures and things on here..that took me forever, but whatever...it's fun! Here are a couple of cute pictures of the boys decked out in their Transformer stuff before going to bed...the are so silly and cute!!

Tucker's first soccer game

On Valentine's Day Tucker had his very first official soccer game!! It was the cuttest thing I have ever seen. He played the entire game and had such a blast! He started the game off by kicking off the ball and took it all the way down the field for a breakaway! He had a ton of breakaways and he scored a bunch goals...though not all the of the goals he scored were in the right goal..but that didn't really matter to him. He was proud of himself for scoring anyways..no matter which goal he actually did score in. He really did a great job and Vinny and I were so proud of him. We were a little worried about Trey and how he would deal with only Tucker playing, but Trey was a good brother and was Tucker's biggest fan. I think Trey really enjoyed watching and cheering on Tucker, he will get his chance to play eventually! It was so much fun for all of us and we can't wait for next the next game!!!!!

Muesum Fun

Last week sometime...we have been so busy I can't keep track of which days are which any more...but anyways.... We took the boys to the Museum of Science to see a 3-D IMAX movie...about going into space called "Fly me to the Moon". It was geared towards kids, so the boys sat through the entire movie without a problem and Vinny and I enjoyed the movie too. It wasn't what we were expecting (we were thinking more on the lines of a documentary, but it was just an animated kids movie) but it was still fun going.

We actually wanted to go to the museum to the the traveling exhibit called Body Works where they have real bodies preserved in a special way...If you don't know what I'm talking about, go look it up because it is AMAZING!! I'm serious. I've never seen anything like it and I highly recommend when or if it comes to the museum in you area go see it. But anyways...we wanted to see it, but tickets are pretty pricey and we even had to pay for Tucker(they charge for 3 and up which I think is pretty outrageous....), so we decided just to take the boys to the movie. While we were standing in line a lady hands us a coupon for the museum and it was a pretty good discount too, so we decided we should go see the exhibit. It was amazing...I know I already said that, but I don't know another word to describe it. It was so cool.

We couldn't take pictures in the actual Body Works exhibit, but I snapped a few outside the museum and one of Tucker by the huge sea shells.

You might think I am nerd, but I love museums! All these cool things to learn about...It's just so fun! I have a feeling Vinny, the boys, and I will be spending a lot of time there in the years to come. So if you haven't been in a while or have never been at all...you should go check out your local museum! It's such a great family activity!!!!!!

Fun, but sad....

A few day ago we drove down to Galveston to do some fishing. It was the first time we have been back since Hurricane Ike hit back in September. It was so sad to see a place we love and have made so many great memories at still so disrupted from the storm. Galveston was hit pretty hard, but hit even harder was across the ferry from Galveston, Point Bolivar and Crystal Beach (which is where we do our majority of beach activities because they are public beaches and we can just drive the truck right up on the beach...which is so much easier with the kids). There is still so much debris and junk everywhere. I was so suprized how many of the buildings are still inhabatiable. It was so sad on Point Bolivar how many houses were completely destroyed...there was so much stuff that was gone...just completely GONE....

I know the hurricane was serious...it was pretty intense up at our house and we live about an hour and a half drive away from the coast, but to see the devistation first hand and how bad it still is 5 months after it hit is down right SCARY. Vinny and I both decided the when we decided to move, it will NOT be anywhere south of where we currently live.

All in all we had a nice day together out at a family, doing what the men love most..fishing, but it was so hard to get past the devistation.

We have been busy......

really we have been busy....but that's always a good thing....we are all happier when we are busy....so where to start.....

I guess with our little fishing trip to our favorite local park. It's only about 15 minutes from our house and there is so much to do...well fishing of course..they didn't really catch much....well Trey was the only one to catch anything and he caught two little Perch. Vinny and Tucker had no luck at all. Tucker and Vinny fished the whole time we were there, but Trey and I went on a walk/jog around the lake on the walking trail, went over and played on the playground, and we did some exploring and found some cool things...a pinecone and a huge leaf(that we ended up having to take home because he liked it so much.) We also brought along our dog Terry because, even though she isn't very big(about 20lbs.) she is super adventurous! She loves chasing the birds and squirrels and she even gets in the water to swim and chase the ducks. The weather was perfect and we had a great day!

1st Soccer Practice

Tucker just started soccer with the YMCA and he had his first practice on Wednesday. It was a lot of fun. Trey isn't old enough to play yet, but the coach let him practice with the team. And I have to admit..Both my boys did pretty dang good :D

Birthday Pictures

Tucker had his birthday at Chuck E Cheese with a few of his friends. He had a BLAST!!

4 years already

I really can't believe it has been 4 years since Tucker was born...wow...time just flew buy!!!! We went to his favorite place...Bass Pro Shop. Tucker is having his birthday party tomorrow with his friends.

But anyways....HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY TUCKER!!!!!!
